PetroSocial Drilling Data Hub (WITSML Server)

Seamless flow of data between operators and service companies was a major requirement in the upstream oil & gas industry for speedy and enhanced decision making during drilling, completions and workovers. To facilitate such collaboration, E&P companies need to adopt shared, integrated, IT technology to enable multi-disciplinary teams to engage in improved workflow processes. For this the data flow have to cross the barriers of proprietary software, need to be policy free, language neutral and the data transfer have to be secure, efficient and utilizing the minimum bandwidth.

WITSML™ (Wellsite Information Transfer Standard Markup Language) is an industry initiative to provide open, non-proprietary, standard interfaces for technology and software that monitor and manage wells, completions and workovers driven by the global upstream oil & gas industry standards consortium Energistics (www.energistics.org).

The PetroSocial Drilling Data Hub is Perfomix’s implementation of a server for WITSML services. This product provides a very reliable, scalable and efficient storage and retrieval mechanism for drilling data and a collection of web services for drilling data management that can support the data management needs of various visualization, interpretation, engineering, geo-steering and optimization applications. This product supports WITSML versions 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4.
